The Right to Human Security and Sustainable Peace in Afghanistan

Abstract

Sustainable peace is a dependent variable and human security (with a special understanding) is the independent variable of this article, around which certain questions are raised and answered in this article. In response to the questions, in terms of the research method, argument, and induction have been used to prove the content. The aim is to analyze the relationship between human security and sustainable peace and to express and examine the appropriate solution to the aforementioned relationship for sustainable peace in Afghanistan. One of the important factors in not ensuring sustainable peace in Afghanistan is the lack of proper attention to the phenomenon of human security, which overlaps with human rights. On the other hand, the non-liberation of the Afghan people from fear and poverty, which is the definition of the concept of human security, in the premise of this article, is rooted in three basic issues that have been highlighted and discussed in detail in this article. 1. Military and peace security and humanitarian aid; 2. continuous discrimination against different groups and 3. lack of belief in human dignity. The author has analyzed and evaluated the three mentioned factors that have been effective in the failure of the international community and the Afghan government to provide human security and ultimately ensure sustainable peace. Instead, guaranteeing equality of opportunity, reducing discrimination, creating a culture of belief in human dignity and guaranteeing it, and human development help to create human security and ultimately sustainable peace.
