A Study on Students’ Needs Analysis to Enhance Speaking at a Public School in Majene
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan belajar siswa dalam keterampilan berbicara bahasa Inggris di salah satu SMA di Majene. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode campuran. Data diperoleh dari kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki tujuan belajar yang berbeda, mengalami kesulitan dalam berbicara, dan lebih menyukai pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara individual bertahap, menyenangkan, dan relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Siswa juga lebih mudah belajar dengan melihat, membaca, dan melakukan aktivitas secara langsung. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, pembelajaran berbicara akan lebih efektif jika disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa, dengan dukungan berbagai media pembelajaran, suasana kelas yang nyaman, dan strategi guru yang mendorong partisipasi aktif dan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam berbicara bahasa Inggris.
